The laser non-destructive cleaning machine adopts a new-generation control system and trajectory algorithm independently developed by Lasermach. Very often, laser marking and engraving are used as synonyms, but they actually refer to two different processes. 

They both imprint an indelible mark on a material by means of a laser beam, but while the engraving vaporizes it, the marking dissolves it. 

The melted surface expands, creating grooves up to 80 µm deep, altering the roughness of the material and creating a black and white contrast, depending on the laser parameters used.

Laser marking and engraving: How does it work?

Laser marking is a contactless procedure: The permanent, abrasion- and scratch-resistant marks are the result of the interaction between the laser beam and the material. Depending on the effect that is created by the laser beam, different methods are distinguished. The marking result depends on the adjustment of a number of correlating variables. These include the laser beam source, the laser parameters, the type of material, and, last but not least, the marking requirements.
